1988 – Michael Jackson is performing a concert during Bad World Tour at the Reichstag, attending 50,000. Over 3,000 East Germans gather at the Berlin Wall to hear Michael Jackson performs on the other side of the Wall in West Berlin.

Michael could have performed at any other stadium but decided to perform at the Reichstag to send a message of peace & unity. The message was sent loud and clear!

The Berlin Wall was a barrier constructed by the German Democratic Republic between East Berlin and West Berlin ran just behind the Reichstag, starting August 13, 1961, that completely cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany & from East Berlin. The barrier included guard towers placed along large concrete walls, which circumscribed the death strip that contained anti-vehicle trenches, fakir beds and other defenses.

The fall of the Wall started on the evening of November 9, 1989 was the first step toward German reunification, which was formally concluded on October 3, 1990

1992 – The World première of the video clip for JAM on Fox TV, BET and MTV in the U.S.A.
The Short film starring Michael Jackson, basketball legend Michael Jordan, Heavy D as well as rap duo Kriss Kross, choreographed was Michael Jackson. Michael’s make-up was created by Karen Faye.

2001 – News broke that Michael Jackson had chosen “You Rock My World” to be the first single to be released from the forthcoming album Invincible.

“You Rock My World” is a song by American recording artist Michael Jackson from his tenth, and final, studio album “Invincible” (2001). The song was released as the lead single from the album in August 2001 by Epic Records. The video features appearances from Marlon Brando and Michael Madsen.
